Ghost Ship

Poison Tree was a song I uploaded a while ago which really captured my soul. It had a unique sound that really interested me. Some of you may know I am a fan of folk and anything with a banjo, as well as dobros and pedal steels and anything that is a little bit quirky.

Ghost Ship are the band behind the song. They are a Seattle based group that take their name from being vessels of the Holy Spirit (hence Ghost Ship). They are more of a rustic American rock than folk but I love them all the same.

They have made this short documentary explaining the story behind their song, ‘The Revelation of Jesus Christ.’

Well worth a watch, and it’s only 5 minutes or so long. Great story and very inspiring.

Found it really helpful that he was looking for answers to specific problems and he wanted specific results. He tells how he actually needed Jesus and it highlighted sin. It seemed a bit odd that he was looking for peace and what he found was sin, but this highlighted his need and our need for Jesus.

About

am Jamie, and I am a Christ follower. I love Jesus but more importantly he loves me and made the ultimate sacrifice of his son so that all the things I have done, and will do, have been forgiven. And now I know God, and I pursue to know him more. Motivated and transformed by his grace I live for God, to glorify him by enjoying him.
