Prologue to NWA stewarding

So I am almost home from NWA but…I have a short stop off in the lovely Bangor with some of the UCCF team in Wales, enjoying the company and drinking lots of tea as I take over Mikey Chalmers’ office (typing on a computer that has an ‘L’ key is very exciting).

Soon, and I mean very soon I will be putting up some tasty treats of what my experience as a steward was like, with the hilarity and awkwardness that came in abundance. Trouble seems to follow me about, or maybe it’s me following the trouble?

One thing I would like to say now though is the encouragement NWA was to me. There was no one talk, and I didn’t think they were all breath taking, but the week collectively was deeply illuminating of grace. I was stirred in remembrance to my need of grace, how much I need to remind myself I need, to preach to myself when I am seeming to make progress in terms of being a radical disciple of Christ that I need grace, to pursue grace when I feel that grace seems so far away.

If you want to read about lots of the teaching from NWA I would recommend JT, Sammy and Larry…but my portrait will be the life of a NWA steward.

am Jamie, and I am a Christ follower. I love Jesus but more importantly he loves me and made the ultimate sacrifice of his son so that all the things I have done, and will do, have been forgiven. And now I know God, and I pursue to know him more. Motivated and transformed by his grace I live for God, to glorify him by enjoying him.
