You’re the most beautiful girl I have ever seen…eating a kebab

conchordsYes, you are correct. The title is indeed a quote from one of my favourite musical duo’s, Flight of the Conchords. But what I want to focus on is that word kebab. The wonderful kebab. The only group of people who eat kebabs when sober are Christian lads, and I have eaten many a kebab with no influence of alcohol.

But why? […}

I do not know why I eat kebabs. It’s beautiful wh

yes in a flat pita, covered in donner er meat they call it. Yummy.

The problem is the morning after.

Last night I did endulge in a kebab with my too charming house mates, Jon (from thi

s blog) and Dave (a commentator of this blog). At the time is was wonderful. We all commented on how good the meat was. Lovely.

But this morning I have just got off the lav and let me tell you it was not normal. Why do I do it. Every morning after a kebab I regret it.

So should we stay away from the kebab for our own well being. For me it cannot be a godly act.

Just to add a quality line from Jon, “erm lads. I don’t think we can ask God to bless this to our bodies…”  classic.

am Jamie, and I am a Christ follower. I love Jesus but more importantly he loves me and made the ultimate sacrifice of his son so that all the things I have done, and will do, have been forgiven. And now I know God, and I pursue to know him more. Motivated and transformed by his grace I live for God, to glorify him by enjoying him.

    A truly insightful, heart-warming and challenging blog entry mate. But although it makes no sense what so ever, I cannot see myself ending my love affair with the meal that is fast becoming an adopted national institution. However, just to give some praise to the humble kebab, in the words of the (obviously impartial) poster in the kebab house:

    ‘donner kebab: a nutrious and healthy meal.’

    I can’t believe you described your visit to the toilet on a public blog. You never cease to amaze…
